Nicolette Zader, OTR/L
joined Joy Opens Doors in 2020, and she has been working as an occupational therapist since graduating from Colorado State University with her Masters in Occupational Therapy in 2007. Nikki is originally from Worthington, Ohio, and has lived all around the world, including American Samoa!
Joy Opens Doors was extremely lucky to find Nikki after she moved to the Bay Area! Nikki holds certifications in SOS Feeding, the Beckman Oral Motor protocol, and as an AOTA Fieldwork Educator. She also has completed training in CAN-EAT with Krisi Brackett, Eating with Ease: Managing Complex Feeding and Swallowing Problems in Children, Effective Sensory Diets, Autism and Sensory Processing Disorder, Handwriting Without Tears K-5, and is DIR Floortime Basic Provider!
Nikki specializes in working with feeding disorders and sensory processing disorder. She says, “My favorite thing about occupational therapy is the joy that comes from seeing a client’s sense of pride when they master something they’ve been working really hard to learn.”
